Painting as Portal

In early 2013, I began investigating augmented reality as a means of extending painting beyond its fixed physical surface. Storytime.org.uk became my first major AR project, enabling viewers to scan the works with a smartphone or tablet to activate animation and enter a bespoke storytelling platform developed specifically for the paintings.
