Help Us Save the Scottish Caledonian Forest
Thank you very much for your interest in the Trees for Life fundraising exhibition. The response to this social media organised event was fantastic with over 158 artists from 19 different countries donating artwork to the cause.
What began as a little idea as I was walking about the Edinburgh Botanic garden very quickly grew into something really quite amazing. I would like to thank all the artists who got in touch with me to donate their time and art.
UPDATE: The exhibition (1 - 13 November) was a huge success with more than 130 of the artworks sold, raising over £5000 for the charity.

Deforestation is a global problem. We are rightly concerned about the current destruction of forests in other parts of the world, but it isn't always so apparent that humans have been clearing Scottish woodlands for millennia. Through the centuries, trees were felled in

The United Nations General Assembly declared 2011 as the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.
